1. Andrea Middleton
Andrea Middleton is one of the most valuable contributors to the WordPress open-source project, both as a WordCamp organizer and as Dot Organizer at Automattic. Although she is now involved with Reddit, she has organized several successful WordPress meetups, WordCamps, and more.
2. Josepha Haden Chomphosy
As the Division Lead of the WordPress project, Josepha Haden Chomphosy is one of the most inspiring and influential wonder women in WordPress. She has organized several WordCamps and even given several interesting speeches such as Talking To Robots and Using WordPress to Bridge Digital Divides.
Besides organizing tons of WordCamp events, Josepha Haden has played an incredible role in coordinating and guiding volunteer efforts for the WordPress ecosystem, as well as handling volunteer training programs and diversity initiatives.
Perhaps one of her most notable contributions has been as one of the Founding Members of Kansas City Women In Technology organization, which is dedicated to training, mentoring, and providing opportunities for women in the tech industry.
In addition to this, Josepha Haden Chomphosy is the Lead of the Open Source Division and Community Wrangler at Automattic, which, if you already didn’t know, is the globally distributed company founded by Matt Mullenweg himself, the founder of WordPress.org itself.
3. Sara Rosso
With more than 20 years of work experience in the tech industry under her belt, Sara Rosso is an inspiration to all. She has worked for several renowned companies such as Hewlett-Packard and Ogilvy and was formerly the Director of Marketing at Automattic.
She has been featured in multiple renowned publications such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, CNN, ABC News, The Huffington Post, and more, for her contributions to the tech field, and is one of the founding members of the Women In Business networking group at Santa Clara University. She is also one of the founding members of Girls Geek Dinners, an organization that promotes women’s participation in the tech industry with over 80 chapters in various countries all over the world.

4. Angela Jin
Angela Jin is the Head of Programs & Contributor Experience sponsored by Automattic. She has also helped organize several WordCamp events and has given several interesting speeches too. Besides this, Angela Jin is the Super Deputy and Mentor for WordCamp Central, and currently manages the Programs and Contributor Experience focus for Automattic’s Five for the Future sponsored division.
5. Naoko Takano
Next up on our list of inspiring women in WordPress is Naoko Takano, who is not only a Globalizer at Automattic but also one of the Polyglots Team Global Mentors for the WordPress open-source project. Takano has immense contributions to the community, from arranging WordCamps to contributing to the Documentation and Polyglots teams, Support team, and much more. She was also one of the Global Leads for WordCamp Asia 2020-2021, and the Japanese Team Locale Manager & General Translation Editor (GTE).
6. Rocio Valdivia
Deputy of the WordPress Global Community Team, Rocio Valdivia is a WordPress and BuddyPress developer who plays an integral role in the WordPress project. She is currently employed at Automattic as Open Source Strategies and Community Wrangler and is directly involved with organizing and managing WordCamp events all over the world.
7. Afshana Diya
Afshana Diya is the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of WPDeveloper, a dedicated product company for WordPress with more than 5 million users worldwide. However, her journey with WordPress began with blogging way back in 2009.
Since then, Afshana Diya has not only organized the first Dhaka WordCamp in 2019, but she has also spoken in many WordCamps including WordCamp Singapore, and WordCamp Iloilo 2019. After all these contributions, Afshana is now working as Global Community Deputy and Mentor for Make WordPress.

8. Mika Ariela Epstein
Another incredible WordPress contributor that you should definitely follow is Mika Ariela Epstein. A true WordPress guru, she has experience in offering top-notch support, has spoken at several WordCamps, and contributed to the WordPress project in several areas such as Documentation, Core, Meta, Support, and more.
Most notably, she is part of the WordPress Plugin Review team and therefore is extremely influential in the community. As of now, Mika Epstein currently works at XWP as a Half-Elf and is the co-founder of LezWatch.TV, one of the largest databases of queer female, non-binary, & transgender TV shows and web series.
9. Lisa Sabin-Wilson
Lisa Sabin-Wilson is a renowned Author, entrupreneur, Half-Elf, and WordPress enthusiast. Some of her bestselling books include WordPress for Dummies, BuddyPress For Dummies, WordPress All In One For Dummies, and WordPress Web Design For Dummies. 11. Nile Flores
Nile Flores is a WordPress developer and designer who has many notable contributions to the WordPress open-source project as Translation Editor, Translation Contributor, Plugin Developer, WordCamp Speaker, and Organizer.

Kathy Drewien has been an incredible part of the WordPress community since 2009, and is the founder of Kathy Drewien & Company, which she describes in her own words as a rescue shelter for abandoned, broken, ugly, orphaned, and non-productive websites. She is a Executive Producer for WordPress open-source projects and has organized several WordCamps and WordPress Meetups for well over a decade.
13. Kim Doyal
Kim Doyal is a renowned marketer, content creator, web developer, and WordPress enthusiast, famously known for her popular podcast “The WPChick Podcast”. She began her lifestyle business back in 2008 and built her brand around WordPress by offering solutions, building websites for clients, and creating content for all things WordPress.
Although she said goodbye to “The WPChick” back in 2018, she continues to offer content marketing services to entrepreneurs and startups as a business coach.
14. Christine Rondeau

15. Helen Hou-Sandí

27. Alice Elliot

28. Carrie Dils

31. Jill Binder
Jill Binder is the lead for Diverse Speaker Training group in the WordPress open-source project and has helped make our community more inclusive by arranging workshops to support diverse speakers to apply to speak at WordPress events.
Named one of the Top 100 Influencers of WordPress by Torque Magazine, Jill Binder is an influential figure who is constantly trying to promote diversity. Her business, Diverse In Tech, is focused on helping tech conferences and companies connect with more diverse people and thus help more voices to be heard.
