Securing your account is essential, and enabling two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of protection. WPDeveloper allows to protect your account with email and the Authenticator App so that you can secure the account with ease.
Now we will learn how to set up the authenticator app with the WPDeveloper account and log in using the account easily. Follow these steps to configure 2FA on your WPDeveloper account using an authenticator app:
Step 1: Login To Your Account #
First, you need to account enter your ‘Email Address’ and ‘Password’ and click on the ‘Login’ button.
Step 2: Choose the Authenticator App #
Here, you will find the two types of authentication options one for email and another using the authenticator app. To authenticate with the app, choose the ‘Configure Authenticator’ option from here.
Step 3: Scan the QR Code With An Authenticator App #
Next, you will see that, a QR code will appear in the pop-up. You need to use an Authenticator app, such as ‘Microsoft Authenticator’, ‘Google Authenticator’, ‘Authy’ etc. For example, we are using here, Google Authenticator. Scan the QR code with the authenticator app and a code will be sent to your app immediately. Copy the code and paste it into the ‘Verification code’ field and click on the ‘Confirm’ button.
Step 4: Download the Code And Continue #
Afterwards, you will see the 2FA authentication is enabled and you will get 10 recovery codes so that you can access the account if you forget your password. Then click on the ‘Download and Continue’ button to get the codes.
Note: Store these recovery codes in a secure password manager. They can be used to recover access to your account if your two factor authentication device is lost.
